I am an employee of the Independent Public Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital in Warsaw and a long-time academic teacher at the Medical University of Warsaw. I gained professional experience during clinical internships in New York (Columbia University, USA), Manchester (Great Britain) and Heidelberg (Germany). In 2021, I passed the specialization exam in ophthalmology, obtaining the highest result in Poland. In 2021, I also obtained the title of habilitated doctor, becoming the youngest specialist in ophthalmology with a habilitated doctor's degree in Poland (at the time of obtaining specialization in ophthalmology). I am a graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw (graduated with distinction, average grade 4.93/5.0). During my studies, I was a two-time scholarship holder of the Minister of Health and a multiple scholarship holder of the Rector. I am a graduate of the Secondary School. Stefan Batory in Warsaw (Ryszard Pomirowski Award for the best graduate in 2008). My clinical interests include ophthalmology for adults and children, including: - diagnostics and treatment of cataracts (I perform several hundred operations a year) - inhibiting the progression of visual defects in children - treatment of dry eye syndrome - diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma - diagnosis and treatment of macular diseases - comprehensive ophthalmological care for patients with diabetes and hypertension In my scientific and clinical work, I cooperate with ophthalmologists from: – USA – Great Britain – Belgium I conduct training for ophthalmologists in the following areas: – inhibiting the progression of myopia – calculating the power of intraocular lenses before cataract surgery – treating corneal ulcers I published the results of my research in prestigious international journals, including: – Eye – Journal of Glaucoma – Current Eye Research I also serve as a reviewer who assessed scientific research from around the world in the following journals: – Ophthalmology – Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery – Hypertension – Eye and Vision I am a member of the following scientific societies: – Polish Ophthalmological Society – American Academy of Ophthalmology
