Vasiliki Papalouka, MD

I am currently working as a Consultant Radiologist specialised in Breast Imaging at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Barts Health Trust in London UK since May 2021. Prior to this, for the last 5 years I have worked as a Consultant Breast Radiologist at the Cambridge Breast Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Foundation Trust, UK.

I have completed a senior clinical fellowship in Breast Imaging at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospital and have a 2-year master’s degree (MSc) in interventional Radiology. I had my radiology training at ‘Attikon’ University hospital of Athens in Greece.

My main interests are in emerging breast imaging technologies and interventional breast procedures. During the last 6 years I have been involved in a number of quality improvement projects and research studies at Cambridge breast unit and I’m currently taking part in research studies as a co-investigator.

I have a number of publication and I am a regular reviewer for peer reviewed journals, such as AJR and European Radiology.
I have an extensive experience in teaching and training in Radiology. I’m committed in supporting medical education by teaching and training the junior doctors and radiology trainees, as well as the radiographic staff and advanced practitioners. I am an educational supervisor for the radiology trainees and faculty in FRCR exams preparation courses.
